Sydney man 'stabbed in deadly frenzy' was due to be married

A Sydney man found stabbed to death after being discovered in the bedroom with another man's girlfriend was set to be married in two weeks.

Amin Sthapit, 30, was found dead in a Darling Point unit block after a man allegedly forced his way into the harbourside apartment.

As reported initially by 7News Sydney, police were called to the incident but emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Sthapit was due to marry nurse Pradeepa Yonzon at the end of this month, according to News Limited.

His heartbroken fiance was consoled by friends on Tuesday as Sthrapit's alleged killer was refused bail in Penrith Local Court.

She tagged a photo of Sthrapit on Facebook, commenting: "You are the closest I'll ever come to magic."

Authorities concluded Sthrapit died from knife wounds to the stomach after reportedly being found in a "compromising situation" with a 28-year-old student.

Police believe the student's boyfriend, Roy Yabalbag, unexpectedly returned home to find his girlfriend and Sthapit in the bedroom.

Paramedics found Sthrapit alive in the corner of the room in a state of cardiac arrest but with wounds believed to be so deep his organs were exposed.
