Breast implants save woman's life

A Russian man probably regrets buying breast implants for his wife after they foiled his attempts to stab her in the chest.

The unnamed woman's life was saved when the knife being wielded by her husband became lodged in one of her silicone implants, the Daily mail reports.

It's believed the man attempted to stab his wife in the chest during a domestic argument, but the knife failed to even pierce her thorax thanks to the size four silicone implants.

Speaking to local media, a plastic surgeon claimed the man had asked his wife to have the implants installed five years ago.

The woman returned to the plastic surgeon following the assault and has now had her implants replaced.

It's not the first time breast implants have saved a life.

A Los Angeles woman is alive today thanks to her implants after they stopped a bullet from reaching her heart last year.

In 2006 an Israeli soldier's life was reportedly saved when shrapnel from an exploding bomb lodged in her implants, coming to within millimetres of vital organs.
