Juventus legend Baggio: Sacchi, Capello were envious of me
Juventus legend Roberto Baggio has spoken of his clashes with his former coaches.
Baggio is now in charge of technical matters with the Italian Federation.
He told Champions magazine he believes his coaches were envious of his talents as a player.
'Il Codino Divino' played under Arrigo Sacchi for Italy, while Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello acted as his club coaches at Juventus and AC Milan respectively.
"I never understood the reasons behind all these problems with them. Maybe they were jealous of the love people had for me," he said.
"Maybe I stole the spotlight from them in an era where coaches are always more protagonists, maybe even more than the team and players.
"Modern football tends to bring out the narcissism of those who sit on the bench."
