Market slides into the red at open

The Australian share market was lower in opening trade, despite positive leads from Wall Streeet on Friday.

At 7.15am the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 17.7 points at 4919, while the broader All Ordinaries index was 16.6 points lower at 50009.5.

On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was 15 points lower at 4907, with 8250 contracts traded.
