Eck says Martins will thrive in Birmingham system

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has no doubts Obafemi Martins will thrive in their playing system.

McLeish is confident on-loan striker Martins will make an impact for Blues once he has settled in.

The former Scotland boss said: "Oba has got to adapt and we will be working in training on him working with our strikers.

"I felt they were a bit far apart at times against Stoke.

"But you saw on Saturday some of the strength he has got. That is the type of impact we are looking for Martins to make."
