Should hands free phones be banned in cars?

Tough new laws to ban all mobile phone use in vehicles are being considered by transport ministers after a landmark report found that even hands-free devices dramatically increased the risk of crashing.

A draft National Road Safety Strategy for 2011 to 2020 has been released for public comment, care of the Australian Transport Council.

Here's a few ideas:
- Should mobiles be banned in cars?
- Is eating ok while driving?
- Should P-Platers have more restrictions?
- Should there be crash testing for motorbike helmets?
- What about speed cameras?

The strategy proposes a target of a 30 per cent reduction in the annual numbers of deaths and serious injuries, by 2020.

What are you willing to give up, to make roads safer?
