Three men rob woman, taxi driver

Police are hunting three men who robbed a taxi driver and then a woman in the Western suburbs this morning.

Just before seven o'clock this morning, Xin Zhou, a taxi driver, was parked at the taxi rank at West Lakes Shopping Centre when three men approached his car and threatened him, armed with spanners and screwdrivers, for cash.

"He say, 'give me money, give me money,' I say 'I haven't got it, I just started, I have no money,'" Mr Zhou said.

The men then smashed the taxi's security camera and stole the man's wallet and cash they found in the console.

The three thieves then fled into a stolen white 2003 Nissan Pulsar, with a South Australian registration plate reading 'XAC-191'.

Ten minutes later a woman walking down Curtis St at Woodville South had her handbag stolen by a man who grabbed her from behind.

The man then fled into a Nissan Pulsar with two other men in it, waiting nearby.

The car was last seen driving in the direction of Port Rd.

The three men are described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in their early 20's and they were all wearing hoodies and jeans.

Police are asking anyone who sees the stolen Nissan Pulsar to call BankSA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
