Aussie fishermen shocked after monster groper steals catch
A group of Northern Territory fishermen had the shock of their lives when a huge groper emerged from the depths in an attempt to steal their catch.
Darwin man Shawn Schlabsz and three of his friends were reeling in a fish off Nightcliff at sunset and recording the moment with their camera when the monster fish appeared.
“What is that!?” one of the men can be heard shouting as it glides over the surface of the water, chasing the fish on the line.
The men quickly scoop up their catch and continue to film the large groper under the water.
The unexpected surprise left the group in hysterics, with one of the men saying again: “What the f--- was the that!”.
The video has been viewed over 250,000 times since it was uploaded on Saturday.
