Truck driver allegedly assaulted in 'unprovoked' road rage attack

An enraged motorist has been captured on camera attacking a tow truck and allegedly assaulting its driver in an apparent “unprovoked” road rage incident in Queensland.

Clayton’s Towing turned to social media to appeal for the public's assistance in tracking down the enraged driver.

Four still images of the shocking incident occurred in Caboolture, just north of Brisbane, has been labelled by the company as a “severe rage episode”.

The images clearly show the angered driver of a white vehicle allegedly attacking company’s truck.

It’s alleged he managed to crack the windscreen, kick the door and a driver through the vehicle’s window during the heated exchange.

The nail-biting incident was captured on the dashcam of the truck driver’s vehicle however due to fears for the driver's privacy and safety the vision has only been released to police.

Clayton’s Towing on Facebook called the unsavoury incident “an unprovoked attack”.

“Our driver (was) simply driving behind the vehicle at a safe distance before being stopped,” the post said.

Since the post was first made earlier today, Clayton’s Towing have announced that the alleged attacker has been identified and the information has since been passed onto local authorities.

"Thank you, we have been inundated with messages and phone calls informing us of who the man is in the photos posted one hour ago,” the company stated.

“We have now informed police who the person is. It is so great to see that so many people do care, and want to work together to stop rage incidents like this happening again.”
