Shocking video shows 'Sydney bus driver attack taxi driver'
Shocked passengers on a Sydney bus have filmed the incredible moment a driver left the bus to allegedly attack a taxi driver.
The driver of the Route 229 bus flipped out, passengers said, because the taxi was illegally parked in a bus zone.
Dressed in the blue Sydney Transport uniform, the driver can be seen standing at the window of the taxi driver's car shouting at him and apparently reaching in several times to hit him.
The incident happened while the bus was stuck in traffic at Victoria Cross on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported.
Passengers in the video appear shocked and taken aback, with some saying ‘he’s punching him’ while the alleged attack was happening.
The bus driver then appears to spit through the window onto the taxi driver.
When he returns to the bus, he can be heard shouting ‘Get f*****d’, as passengers fall silent in disbelief.
The video was posted on Tuesday by a Reddit user called Shinobi, and has since been viewed over 12,000 times.
Describing the “scuffle”, Shinobi wrote:
"The cabbie had parked half his car illegally past the bus zone sign.
“The bus driver was pulling over to stop and decided to honk and swear at the cabbie to move his car (which he could not as the bus had blocked him in).
“That's when he decided to leave the bus,” he said.
The bus driver has been suspended and State Transit will conduct an internal investigation.
