Firefighter saves puppy's life with CPR

A firefighter in the United Kingdom has been hailed a hero for saving the life of a puppy dog with CPR.

The tiny terrier was one of 10 dogs rescued after fire tore through a dog kennel at Little Hulton in Manchester.

Emergency worker Dale Chetto pulled the eight-month old pup from the burning building and quickly fitted him with an oxygen mask.

He also gave him a heart massage.

“He was only small, I could hold him in my hand, and when I first pulled him out I could not feel a pulse,” Mr Chetto told the Daily Mail.

“The heart massage is exactly the same as you would do with an adult, although I put a breathing mask with oxygen in it on him instead of doing mouth to mouth.

“I was doing heart massage for about five minutes until I started feeling a beat in his chest.”

Two adults and six children escaped the blaze unharmed.

Four dogs perished in the fire.
