Holden chairman and managing director Gerry Dorizas resigns

Holden chairman and managing director Gerry Dorizas has resigned after only seven months in the roles.

The company said he was leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Mr Dorizas took up the positions in March, with the company saying he presided during a difficult period.

Holden revealed in December last year it would cease manufacturing in Australia in 2017.

Holden chief financial officer Jeff Rolfs will take over until a permanent replacement is found.
