NSW policeman charged over bus incident

A man travelling on a Sydney bus has allegedly been sworn at and verbally abused by a NSW police officer.

The off-duty constable was travelling from Avalon on the northern beaches on August 2 when the incident took place as the man was getting off the bus.

The incident was investigated by police who charged the officer, who is a part of specialist command, with offensive conduct.

He will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on October 30.
