Concerns held for missing NSW man

Family and police are concerned about a middle-aged NSW man who's been missing since Thursday morning.

Steve Meadows, 43, was last seen leaving his Dubbo home and his family haven't been able to contact him since.

Local police, PolAir, dog squad units, State Emergency Services and members of the Volunteer Rescue Association have been searching for Mr Meadows since Friday morning.

"Police and family have serious concerns for Mr Meadows' welfare and inquiries revealed that Steve may have been in Geurie, 28km southeast of Dubbo, but he has not been located," police said.

Mr Meadows has a Caucasian appearance with a medium build, brown hair and green eyes.

He's about 180cm tall and anyone with information about his location is asked to contact authorities.
