Injured police dog Koda recovering well

Koda the police dog who was stabbed in the line of duty in Adelaide’s northern suburbs last month is recovering well and should soon be back on the beat.

The six-year-old German Shepherd suffered nasty wounds while helping officers arrest a suspect at Elizabeth Vale.

Vets removed his stitches this morning and say he will be ready to go back to work soon.

But first Koda and his handler will be taking a few weeks of well-earned leave
