Person dies after car crashes into Adelaide bank

A pedestrian has died after a car crashed into a bank near the Westfield Marion Shopping Centre.

Shocked witnesses saw an elderly man being hit by an out of control car which slammed into the wall of an ANZ bank.

An 81-year-old man was driving through the undercover car park when it's believed he suffered a medical episode.

Witnesses thought they heard a horn however it wasn't enough warning for the 72-year-old man who was walking past the bank.

He died on impact.

His 62-year-old friend was also injured. Two people inside the bank also suffered minor injuries.
Other injuries aren't known at this time.
