A random decision to move just a few metres was all that stood between this school boy and almost certain death.

He ambles casually to the right, kicking another rock behind a telegraph pole.
That proved a fateful decision.
Seconds later an out of control BMW smashes through the railing and into the telegraph pole, which shields him from devastating injury or death.
