WATCH: High-speed outback crash caught on dashcam

This is the terrifying moment a Queensland truck driver ploughed through the trailer of an out-of-control driver on an outback road.

The whole incident was caught on a dash cam video and it shows the four-wheel-drive swerving across the road into the oncoming traffic.

Max French, the truck driver, keeps his nerves and continues in a straight line as the trailer passes the centre line of the road.

The trailer was destroyed on impact and Mr French's windscreen was badly smashed but amazingly neither of the drivers were injured.

Mr French, from Normanton, Queensland, does not shout or shout on impact and the only thing that can be heard on the video is country music in the background.

The pair of drivers have a conversation after the crash and Mr French says: “Why did you get off the f---ing road?"
“I’ve got no idea why you went off the road and on to here.”

“I was trying to make room for you,” replies the 4WD driver.

Mr French replies: “Mate, there was plenty of room for both of us."
