Lucky $20m Lotto winner comes forward

A mystery Lotto winner has finally come forward to claim his colossal $20 million prize.

The man, who wanted to remain anonymous but is aged in his 30s, got the shock of his life when he discovered his last-minute entry won a first division share, worth a staggering $20 million.

“I had a bit of a freak out when I realised I’d won,” he said.

Melbourne's newest millionaire had been sitting on his whopper fortune for days but had no idea.

The lucky winner had bought an unregistered ticket, so Tatts had no way of contacting him.

It has also been revealed that his win was an extraordinary stroke of luck.

"It's funny because I didn't even go into the news agency that day to by an Oz Lotto ticket," he said.

"I was actually in there checking my Tatts Lott tickets and a staff member asked me if I'd like an entry in the Oz Lotto jackpot draw."

The shocked winner wants to use his new-found fortune to ‘set up family first’.

“I do love to travel so I think I’ll be doing more of that too,” he said.

“I’m still trying to register the fact that I’ve just won $20 million!”

On Tuesday night, there were two entries that won a first division share of the $40 million jackpot, each worth $20 million.

Along with the winning entry in Richmond, the other winning ticket was claimed in Mittagong, New South Wales.
