Munich and Dortmund get first wins of 2015

Leaders Bayern Munich and ailing Borussia Dortmund got their first Bundesliga victories of the year on Saturday to overcome slow starts out of the winter break.

Munich prevailed 2-0 at VfB Stuttgart through Arjen Robben and David Alaba.

Dortmund won 3-0 at Freiburg where Marco Reus opened the scoring and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got a brace.

Andre Schuerrle had a splendid debut at second-placed Wolfsburg after a Monday move from Chelsea, setting up the first two goals in a 3-0 against Hoffenheim.

Hertha Berlin returned to winning after the dismissal of coach Jos Luhukay, 2-0 at Mainz under caretaker Pal Dardai.

Munich lead with 49 points, Wolfsburg are on 41 and Schalke are third on 34 from Friday's 1-0 win against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Stuttgart replace Dortmund as new bottom club with 18 points, owing to an inferior goal difference with Freiburg.

Dortmund are third last on 19 while Hertha climb from second last to 13th with 21.
