Graphic testimony at 'mile high' trial

A flight attendant testifying at the trial of a woman accused over an indecent act with a man on an Air Canada flight has graphically described the pair’s antics.

Jason George Chase, 39, and Alicia Elizabeth Lander, 25, were both charged with participating in an indecent act in a public place after the alleged incident on a flight from Toronto to Halifax in 2014, News Corp reports.

Ms Lander has pleaded not guilty while Mr Chase, who is now pleading guilty, is set to face court in March.

The service director on the flight, John Dunn, testified on day two of Ms Lander’s trial that about half way into the two-hour flight, another passenger informed him the couple was ‘about to join the mile high club’.

Mr Dunn testified that when he went to investigate, he found the pair in their seats with a coat draped across their laps, and that Mr Lander’s pink g-string was visible between her thighs and Mr Chase’s hand was moving up and down.

“Her pants were down around her ankles,” he told the court, News Corp reported.

“I said, ‘I want you to stop this now. It’s inappropriate’.”

Mr Dunn said he ordered Ms Lander to get dressed and put her breasts back inside her bra before moving the pair apart for the remainder of the flight.

The captain had the Royal Canadian Mounted Police meet the plane after landing.

Mounted police constable James Curran testified that Ms Lander kicked a sliding door off its tracks, ‘mule’ kicked a police officer and kicked holes into the wall of the airport interview room.

Another mounted police officer testified: “At one point she lunged at me as if to bite me.”

Ms Lander is also facing counts of assaulting a police officer, committing an act of mischief and causing a disturbance.
