Firies save dogs from burning home

Two dogs have been rescued from a house fire on Sydney's north shore.

Jake and Jade - both eight years old - were found hiding behind a couch in a Castlecrag home.

Fire fighters say Jake was covering his canine companion from the danger.

"[It's] a big relief that's for sure, cause you always fear the worst when there's a fire and you got two little pets and you just don't know where they are in the house," homeowner Craig Anderson said.
