NSW man charged with 23 child sex offences

A man has been arrested and charged with 23 child sex and indecent assault offences on the NSW south coast.

The 59-year-old Tathra man was arrested in Bega on Monday, two months after six males made separate allegations about sexual abuse and indecent assault.

The boys were all aged between eight and 16 when the incidents allegedly took place at Tathra between 2006 and 2014.

The man's youngest alleged victim is now aged 12.

Earlier on Monday, detectives raided a home in Tathra and seized a number of items.

He has been charged with multiple counts of child rape, one count of assault and five counts of aggravated indecency.

He has been refused bail and will appear at Bega Local Court on Tuesday.
