Crime Stoppers' Most Wanted

Police are pushing a new campaign to find some of Australia’s most wanted criminals, and are offering big rewards for information leading to their arrests.

Operation Roam asks the public to help police get dangerous criminals off the streets.

The list of fugitives includes Stuart Pearce from South Australia, who is wanted for the alleged murder of his wife and three children 13 years ago, with the SA Government offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the apprehension or conviction of the person responsible for the suspected murders.

Last year, the community’s calls to Crime Stoppers resulted in nine arrests, including three in the first 48 hours of the appeal.

Peter Price, Deputy Chairman of Crime Stoppers Australia said: “These people have committed serious crimes and we need the help of the Australian public to locate them, before they commit any further crimes and do more harm. We do not need any more victims of crime.

“Crime Stoppers is asking every member of the public to be on the lookout for these people, but not to make any attempt to apprehend or approach them.”

Deputy Commissioner Tim Cartwright of Victoria Police, who is representing Australian Police in this operation said: “There is a wealth of untapped community information out there, we need the eyes and ears of the community, to help make Australia a safer place.

“You, the community are your own first line of defence and the best weapon you can use is your phone or computer.”

If anyone knows the whereabouts of these criminals, they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or by sending information online via crimestoppers.com.au; which people can do so anonymously. The public can call their local Police if they prefer.
