Man walks away after plane hits tree

A man has walked away with minor injuries after his plane was blown off-course and crashed into a tree in South Australia’s Mid-North.

Police said the man was the only person aboard the light aircraft when it came down near Burra, about 150km north of Adelaide, at about 1pm yesterday.

The 43-year-old sustained only minor injuries in the crash and reported the incident at the Clare police station.
