Brothers bailed over shopping centre brawl

Man charged over shopping centre brawl

Two brothers have been released on bail after an alleged afternoon assault left a cafe customer with facial injuries.

Epping pair Daniel Pegoraro, 28, and Ben Pegoraro, 23, appeared before the Heidelberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday over the incident at a cafe in Melbourne's north on Sunday.

The pair, who are believed to be associates of the Nomads chapter of the Hells Angels, was charged after handing themselves into police shortly after midday today.

Daniel Pegoraro was charged with affray and behaving in a riotous manner, while his brother faced similar charges.

Bottles and chairs were allegedly thrown during the incident, witnessed by more than 100 stunned shoppers, including young children.

Police say they have spoken with a 35-year-old Lalor man, who suffered minor facial injuries as a result.

Daniel and Ben Pegoraro were bailed to reappear in a court at a later date.
