Abduction accused refused bail

A man accused of abducting a four-year-old girl had concerns for her welfare, an Adelaide court has heard.

Last night, Tayla Frankenberg was reunited with her mother at the Port Adelaide police station, seemingly oblivious to the panic of the past few days.

Police found her with her mother’s ex-partner Anthony Hansen at a Findon house last night.

Today, a court heard she allowed her daughter to visit Hansen on Friday night, but the next day he allegedly sent her a message on Facebook saying Tayla would spend the weekend with him.

On Sunday, Jess Falkenberg reported her daughter missing.

In an application for bail, Hansen’s lawyer told the court his client would contest any claim that he actively avoided police.

The allegation Hansen did not return the child even when he knew police were after him is one reason bail was refused.
