Arrest after alleged police pursuit

A man has been arrested at a bus stop after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase through Adelaide’s west.

Patrols spotted an allegedly stolen Toyota Supra with four occupants on Grange Rd at Beverly late last night, which refused to stop, police say.

After calling off the chase, police found the vehicle abandoned in on Simpson St at Woodville South, and with the assistance of police dogs, tracked one of the suspects to a bus stop nearby.

The 34-year-old Alberton man was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Police have asked anyone with information about the other occupants of the car to contact Crimestoppers 1800 333 000 or online at http://www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au.
