Bison charges at group of kids

'Sure thing son, go ahead and approach that enormous, wild beast that could easily crush you.'

That appears to be the message from a possible Father of the Year candidate as a group youngsters approaches a giant Bison in a video that's going viral online.

The cameraman stands back and watches as the children get nearer to the beast in Yellowstone National Park in the US, as it becomes visibly agitated.

"See his head movement, he’s saying, 'I will get you'", the cameraman says, seemingly aware the animal is acting aggressively.

But does he tell the kids to move back? No.

Instead he keeps filming as the bison charges at the group and all but one manage to scramble to safety.

The smallest child takes a left turn and is chased around a bush by the much larger animal.

The group seems to think it's all a joke, as the child finally makes it to safety.

The video posted on YouTube, was then re-posted by the Yellowstone National Park with a warning.

"This video is one that makes us angry, especially at the irresponsible person behind the camera urging the children "to go ahead and touch him."

"This group has no idea how incredibly lucky they were that no one was injured or killed."
