WATCH: Ute 'rammed' as vehicles race through tunnel in furious road rage attack

Footage has emerged of a shocking road rage attack in a freeway tunnel in Hawaii, that resembled something out of a movie.

It was a terrifying experience for a ute driver, who recorded as he appeared to be repeatedly rammed by a small car through a mountain range tunnel on the main island, Oahu.

The recording starts after the first impact; a small Honda hatchback on the driver side view mirror pulls up alongside the ute.

At this point there is already visible damage on the hatchback’s side door before the driver swears at the other motorist and collides with the vehicle.

Following a second collision, the hatchback swerves in front of the ute, and they come to a stop.

The hatchback driver can be seen on the phone after both vehicles came to a stop, told witnesses the ute had been tailgating him and other motorists for some time beforehand. However, he denied intentionally ramming the other vehicle.

A witness, who did not wish to be identified, said he was behind the two vehicles when he saw the ute cut off the small car in the tunnel.

“It’s like something you see in a car chase,” he told Hawaii News Now.

The witness also said he spoke to the ute driver at the scene, who said he intended to press charges.
