London bystanders join forces to lift taxi off woman

Watch the incredible moment a group of strangers that band together to save a woman who was pinned underneath a taxi.

The woman who has not be named, was walking across a London road when she was struck down around 1pm on Monday, The Telegraph reports.

Eyewitness, Lara Fares, called bystanders in to help after she saw the taxi driver and two paramedics waiting for more support.

"I said, aren't we going to move the car off her? She's still alive."

The paramedics agreed and Ms Fares started calling for people to come help free the woman.

“I was really bossy, but I think people needed to be told what to do,” she said.

“I started yelling at people in the street, running up to them, especially men. I was saying 'You're a man, there's a lady under the car you've got to help push'."

After about three minutes, the group of around 30 people managed to lift the taxi off the woman.

She was later treated in hospital for soft tissue damage.

This isn't the first time strangers have banded together to pull off an incredible rescue.
