Ute smashes into store and hits boy
A child is lucky to be alive after he was run over by a ute that crashed into a convenience store in Canada.
The boy was shopping with his father at the Winnipeg store on Tuesday morning, when he became trapped under the vehicle.
CCTV vision captured the horrific moment the ute smashed through the glass doors and sent shelves and stock flying, before hitting into the young boy.
His father, who just managed to escape being hit by the vehicle, immediately falls to the floor to see if his son is okay.
He then appears to have a heated exchange with the shocked motorists before pulling his son out from beneath the vehicle and giving him a big embrace.
Store owner Dawit Neway told CBC News the boy, believed to be around eight or nine years old, only appeared to suffer minor injuries.
"The kid had some minor injuries, some minor cuts, so we tried to help him out," Neway said.
"He was crying, he was very scared and, yeah, he was very shaky. … It was [a] very bad situation."
CBC News reported that a second child was also injured in the incident. However, his condition is currently unknown.
This certainly isn't the first time someone has danced with death and lived to tell the tale.
