Armed robbery ends in double homicide

A mother and daughter have been gunned down by armed bandits fleeing the scene of a pawnshop robbery in the US.

The bodies of a 72-year-old Patricia Moran her 51-year-old daughter Deborah Royal were discovered inside their Florida home just before 6:30pm on Thursday evening.

Less than an hour earlier, officers with Florida’s Polk County Sheriffs Office responded to a silent alarm at the Cash America Pawn store.

Chilling security camera footage shows at least two men in white hoods holding store attendants at gun point after lurking through the shop. A crowbar can be seen lying on the floor.

Four robbery suspects fled on foot as officers approached the pawnshop.

Officers were then called to a local home where they were confronted by a car suddenly bursting through the closed garage door.

A second robbery suspect, 34-year-old Michael Gordon, was shot four times inside the car before being arrested.

Two more suspects Jovan Lamb and Terrell Williams, both aged 29, were also apprehended close the scene.
