Boy survives after car runs over his head
WARNING - Graphic content: The miraculous moment a five-year-old boy walked away unhurt after an out of control car ran over his head.
Heart-stopping CCTV shows the dramatic moment a parked car crashed into a young Brazilian boy and his grandmother after being struck by another car.
Witnesses feared Joao Pedro Nascimento and his 56-year-old grandmother were dead after they were both run over as they walked home from the boy's school in Goiás, Brazil, according to the Metro.
The video shows the previously parked VW Golf smashed into by an out-of-control vehicle before plundering into the pair.
Both victims are run over by the rear right wheel of the VW before the front wheel runs directly over the boy's head.
"I saw how the car crushed him and he ran towards me but when I saw blood coming out of his nose and mouth I feared the worst," the Joao's grandmother told Brazil's Globo Network.
Miraculously, the boy jumped straight back to his feet to check on his grandmother.
Joao only suffered a few cuts and bruises and was released from hospital on the same day as the accident, the Metro reports.
His grandmother was released the day after.
"I feel as if we’ve been born again," she said. "Joao doesn’t even look as if he’s been run over."
"The hand of God helped us and thankfully we’re okay."
