Woolworths makes major call on prices ahead of Christmas
Aussie families are going to be feeling the crunch this Christmas as inflation and interest rates rise, but Woolworths has made an announcement that will be welcomed by households across the country.
Following a price freeze on essential products earlier in the year, Woolies has committed to keeping prices on a range of festive items either the same or lower than they were last Christmas.
The products range from bon bons and disposable cutlery through to dinner table favourites like whole turkeys, legs of ham, prawns, pavlovas and incredibly popular rock lobsters.
In more good news for spend-wise shoppers, another 150 seasonal treats and snacks will also be "price dropped for Christmas", including frozen turkeys, stuffing mix and Bundaberg soft drinks.
"We know this year more than ever, customers are looking for great value when it comes to entertaining their friends and family during the festive season," Woolworths Supermarkets Managing Director Natalie Davis said.

"We are focused on ensuring we have the best Australian fresh products available for the Christmas table, and that customers can get their Woolies Worth as they manage the impacts of the rising cost of living on their budgets," she added.
The Christmas specials are available now in store and online until 27 December 2022, with shoppers encouraged to check availability with their local store if a particular product isn't available online as it is likely to be re-stocked.

From now until 17 January 2023, Everyday Rewards members can also earn credits for every $20 they spend, which will enable them to collect a new range of dinnerware, glassware and cutlery items at Woolworths and Big W during the festive season.
