Woman's sneaky tactic before stealing plants from outside house

The deviant tactic of a thief before stealing plants from the front door of a family’s home has been captured in security vision.

A woman was filmed entering a stranger’s property in broad daylight at Umina Beach on the NSW Central Coast, then ringing the doorbell and knocking in a sneaky move to determine if anyone was home.

After realising there seemed to be no one home at the time, the woman proceeded in her plot to steal an armful of plants from the home’s entryway, right next to the front door.

Wearing a bright pink top, the woman could be seen making off with three plants, all of which appeared to still be wielding identification tags.

In an angry post to Facebook, the home’s occupant exposed the brazen robber and pleaded for help in identifying her.

“If anyone knows who this thieving piece of s**t is can you please tell her to return the three pot plants she stole from my front door,” the woman wrote.

“She’s getting around with another woman and a guy.”

Her appeal was shared nearly 500 times after being posted to social media on Tuesday.

Many condemned the shameful act, with some claiming they too saw the trio carrying several other household items on the same day.

NSW Police confirmed the incident had been reported and investigations were under way.
