Woman makes revolting discovery inside ice block
A woman has been horrified by the discovery of a dead rat fused inside her ice block.
The woman, known as Ms Yang, from Huai’an, China, was shocked on Tuesday to discover the rodent’s tail protruding from her popsicle after a few bites.
She initially believed it to be a caterpillar but her worst nightmares were confirmed when her friend took a closer look and realised it was a rat instead.
A disgusted Ms Yang headed back to the store where she bought the ice block , demanding 50,000 yuan ($10,400) in compensation, Chinese news site Btime.com reported.
The shop owner reportedly offered the woman a large amount of ice blocks instead, only to backtrack and then offer her $400.
Unimpressed, the woman headed to the local regulatory authority, where she was told the most she could receive for her misfortune was $200.
