Woman left with shocking injuries after terrifying carjacking

A Sydney woman has spoken of her terror at being carjacked outside a takeaway restaurant on Tuesday night.

Mauricia Villanueva, 65, said she thought she was going to die as a young thug drove off with her head and limbs scraping along the road.

The attempted carjacker eventually shoved her out, leaving her badly hurt on a Blacktown street.

“I thank God that my pelvic bones are still intact,” she said.

She had gone to KFC in Blacktown for a late takeaway meal when she found a boy lurking near her car.

“I knew he had some not very good intention,” she said.

Mauricia tried to get away but he wrenched the door open, grabbed the wheel and tried to push her out.

“Half of my body’s out, half of my body is still attached to the seat,” she recalled.

Mauricia’s head hit the ground. Bleeding, she thought she’d die.

“He was trying to run over me. I said ‘oh my God, my goodness, this probably is my end’.”

She was dragged for about 20 metres, before she was thrown from the Mazda 3 hatchback.

A couple from a passing car found her lying in the middle of the road and drove her to Blacktown Hospital.

The car was driven about three kilometres and dumped in Greenwood Grove, but the suspect turned up 40 kilometres away in Redfern.

It’s alleged he got into a fight and was arrested with the car keys still in his pocket.

On Wednesday the 16-year-old faced Children’s Court on a raft of charges, including breach of bail.

He has been remanded in custody.
