A woman was allegedly dragged into bushland by two men who attempted to sexually assault her in a horrifying late night attack at a busy city park.
Police allege the woman, aged in her 40s, was walking on Glenn Pl, near Perth’s CBD, about 9.40pm on Tuesday when she was jumped by two men.
The men allegedly dragged the woman into bushland adjacent to Kagoshima Park Lake where they tried to assault her before she was able to scream for help.
“The female was able to scream for help, causing the two men to flee from the area,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.
Sex Assault Squad detectives have now launched an appeal for information into the alleged incident.
One of the men is described as being about 170cm tall, of a solid build and short dark hair.
The other is believed to be about 163cm tall with a slim build.
The second man is described as having had blonde, shoulder length, curly hair and a beard, and is believed to have been wearing a fluorescent cap.
Anyone who was in the area at the time between 9.40pm and 10.20pm, and may have witnessed two men acting suspiciously, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
