A woman has died after she was hit by a speeding Lamborghini driven by a teenager.
Monique Munoz, 32, from California, was killed on Wednesday after the car she was driving was hit by the Lamborghini SUV.
According to a GoFundMe page, written by friends of the Munoz family, Ms Munoz “was the heart and happiness of her family”.
“Her family and friends were her life, she never missed a family gathering or a chance to help a friend and she only had love and kindness in her heart,” they wrote.
“We are all in shock and finding it impossible to fathom the reality of her unexpected passing.
“Please join us in supporting Monique's family as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy.”
Police told KABC the driver of the Lamborghini, a 17-year-old boy, was hospitalised with minor head injuries and speed was a factor in the crash.
He hasn’t been arrested or charged yet. Ms Munoz died at the scene.
Ms Munoz’s stepdad, Isaac Cardona, called the 32-year-old’s death “senseless”.
“Kid's racing down the street in a Lamborghini, 17 years old in a Lamborghini doing 120mph (193km/h), hits and kills her,” he told KABC.
He told a candlelit vigil his stepdaughter “had a heart of gold”.
“She never hurt anybody. Always had a smile on her face,” Mr Cardona said.
“She was taken from us.”
