White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is delivering a press briefing Wednesday afternoon.

The Hill learned from a congressional source that President Biden is proceeding with a $1 billion arms shipment to Israel. The payload will include munitions and tactical vehicles. Not included will be 3,500 large bombs that Biden is holding back pending further assurance of protection for civilians in Gaza.

Ukraine has been struck by a new offensive from Russia on the northeastern Kharkiv region over the last several days. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who this week has made his first visit to Ukraine since September, announced that the U.S. will provide $2 billion in additional support.
