White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and White House national security spokesperson John Kirby will deliver a daily press briefing Friday afternoon.

The White House is preparing for President Biden’s State of the Union address Thursday night as concerns continue to rise around the president’s age and mental acuity. The Biden administration has also ramped up urgency around securing a temporary six-week cease-fire in Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas in Gaza.

Meanwhile, former President Trump is reeling from a favorable ruling from a unanimous Supreme Court on Monday and projections of triumph in today’s Super Tuesday contests in 15 states amid evident Republican Party divisions.

The event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. EST.
