Watch live: Biden, first lady host White House congressional picnic

President Biden will deliver opening remarks Tuesday evening at this year’s White House congressional picnic.

The tradition brings the members of the executive and legislative branches and their families together for an atmosphere of celebration across party lines.

This is the third time hosting the informal get-together on the South Lawn for the president and first lady Jill Biden.

The president is slated to speak at 6:15 p.m. EDT.
