WATCH: Hooded thugs filmed violently bashing, carjacking Uber driver in Queensland
CCTV has captured the moment two men violently bashed and carjacked an Uber driver in Queensland.
Logan police are hunting the offenders who allegedly went on a rampage in the suburb of Underwood on Saturday night.
CCTV shows an Uber passenger fleeing the scene as his driver is punched from both sides by hooded offenders, who were trying to drag him from his car.
The 35-year-old driver eventually gave in to the attack, with the offenders fleeing in the black Toyota sedan.
Witness James Confessore described the violent scene as ‘bizarre’.
Police believed the offenders were the same two men who allegedly robbed the Hotel HQ on Kingston Rd, earlier that night.
Armed with a tomahawk, the pair threatened staff before running off with hundreds of dollars in cash.
Investigations continue.
