Wall Cloud Moves Through Northwest Texas As Severe Storms Hit the Region

A wall cloud glided over northwest Texas on Monday, May 22, as a line of severe thunderstorms hit the region.

Timelapse footage by storm chaser Chad Casey captured the cloud traveling from Childress to Seymour.

Casey told Storyful it was “insane” how quickly the wall cloud developed.

The National Weather Service warned the storm in Childress was capable of producing wind gusts of up to 70 mph and golf ball-sized hail. Credit: Chad Casey via Storyful
