Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Sneak Peek: As Season 2 Premiere Nears, Carol Is Ready, Aims and…
Just as The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was completing its six-episode run Sunday night (read the recap here), AMC rolled out its first teaser for Season 2 of TWD: Daryl Dixon — now with The Book of Carol added to its ever-growing title.
In the action-packed preview, which you can watch below, Norman Reedus’ titular tough guy is seen in a familiar scenario: up to his eyeballs in trouble. But it would appear that he gets the upper hand on the nefarious Genet in this particular shootout. (Guess after you’ve dispatched the undead equivalent of Cocaine Bear, anything short of that is easy peasy.)

Meanwhile, Melissa McBride’s Carol — who took off after her bestie in Season 1’s finale (recapped here) — tries to play nice in search of her pal. That is, she tries to play nice at first. As so often happens in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, nice only takes her so far, and she’s forced to resort to… Well, you’ll see.
Expectations were so high for the France-set Daryl Dixon that the spinoff was renewed for a second season in July 2023, well before it had even premiered. At the tail end of Season 1, McBride made a “surprise” cameo ahead of her addition to the cast as a series regular in Season 2, which bows this summer.
Also coming up for Dead-heads is a second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, which reunites frenemies Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a possible continuation of The Ones Who Live (more on that here) and a potential crossover event to bring together all the shows in the franchise (chief content officer Scott M. Gimple’s thoughts on that here).
