Wait, are Love Island's Scott and Catherine dating?
In the week since Love Island ended (how has it already been a week?), there has been one question that has had fans obsessed, like can't get to sleep levels of obsession, are Scott van-der-Sluis and Catherine Agbaje back together?
The couple, who ended things after Catherine returned from Casa Amor with new bombshell Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, confirmed they were just friends during the Love Island reunion episode last night. However, a recent Instagram Live by fellow contestant Ruchee Gurung, has lead fans to question if the pair are dating.
In the Instagram Live posted last night after the reunion, Ruchee can be seen zooming in on Scott and Catherine sharing a close hug, with Catherine then appearing shocked when the camera panned on them.
Fans were obsessed with the clip with many commenting and asking if it meant they were back together, with one claiming "that hug was intimate", whilst another claimed it "wasn't a friendly hug".
Given what Scott and Catherine said at the reunion, it's likely the pair are just friends and the hug was purely platonic.
During the reunion when asked by Sam Thompson what was going on between the pair, Catherine said: "We talk, like we're on good terms."
Scott then added: "We're in a good place with it. We were friends before Catherine left the villa."
The pair revealed they had been messaging via DM but said they were currently just mates. Elom, who was seated with the pair, said he gave them his blessing if they were to pursue a romantic relationship.
Catherine and Scott began dating during their time in the villa, when Scott entered as a bombshell. The pair got on very well with many fans proclaiming them as their favourite couple, however during Casa Amor, Catherine got to know new bombshell Elom.
When it came to returning to the main Villa Catherine opted to recouple with Elom, whilst Scott chose to remain loyal to Catherine. Though there was some initial tension between Catherine and Scott the pair seemed to repair their relationship and get on well as friends.
Catherine and Elom were dumped from the villa a week after returning from Casa Amor and quickly ended their relationship on the outside after leaving the villa.
