Crying witness pleads with brawlers to stop before someone dies

A wild brawl has been caught on camera in Perth, with one witness so distressed she feared someone would be killed.

The frightening show of aggression happened at Healy Lodge in Hamilton Hill on Sunday, but it is unclear what started the mass punch-up.

Oblivious to everyone around them, the mob's brawl escalates as punches fly.

The woman who filmed the drama has spoken with Seven News but asked to have her identity protected, as she fears for her safety.

"It was all over the place - I couldn't really keep up, to be honest," she said.

"It was terrifying - terrifying."

In the video she can be heard saying, "Has someone called the police? ... They're gonna kill each other!", before she begins to cry.

One person was arrested but has not been formally charged.

A man who had been punched was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital, but was not seriously hurt.

Locals say it's not the first time there has been trouble at the housing complex.

"It's changed our life - we have lots of security measures, along with other neighbours as well," the woman who filmed the brawl said.

Like other residents, she wants ugly, violent scenes such as these stopped.

"The council, if they're going to approve these things [council housing complexes], they really need to consider the implications on the community and the tenants that live there as well, before someone gets seriously, seriously hurt," she said.
