'Weirdest ever': Court hears Van Breda 'giggling' in call for help after parent's murder

A South African court has heard the phone call former Perth schoolboy and murder accused Henri Van Breda made when he reported the deaths of his parents and brother.

The operator, Janine Philander, told the court it was “the weirdest ever” call and she initially thought it was a prank.

“Okay, what kind of injuries is there?” she asks.

"Um... family and me were attacked by a guy with an axe,” he replies.
