State Police Helicopter Crashes Near Charlottesville Golf Course

Two people were killed after a Virginia State Police helicopter stalled out and crashed near a golf course in Charlottesville on August 12, according to a statement from police.

The helicopter was a part of the police presence at the white nationalist rally and anti-fascist counter protest in downtown Charlottesville on Saturday, according to local news reports.

A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
